BASEL TATTOO CHARITY

OBLIGATION TO TRADITION.

Tattoos have always contributed to charitable institutions. In times of war, bereaved families, widows, orphans and invalids were supported with it. The charitable tradition is still maintained today with all well-known tattoos around the world. The Basel Tattoo feels committed to this tradition and therefore in 2010 the Basel Tattoo founded charity.

Basel Tattoo Charity, we support social, charitable, cultural and ecological projects such as the Basel boys' and girls' band, the Unterwalden youth wind orchestra, the Kasernenareal neighborhood meeting point or the foundation for children with cancer. Young musicians are particularly important to us. Around two-thirds of the funds available usually flow into this area.

The income of Basel Tattoo Charity comes about through the commitment of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS). Due to the patronage of the DDPS, we can not only call ourselves the official tattoo of Switzerland, but also rely on the support of the Swiss army during assembly and dismantling. It is therefore agreed that the amounts that can be saved thanks to the personnel and logistical support of the Swiss Army will be donated to the Basel Tattoo charity flow. It is very important to us that we can continue to support and promote young people and charitable projects in particular with the help of the DDPS.

Non-profit organizations or institutions with non-profit projects that correspond to the purpose of the foundation can use the application form (see button) to submit their applications for support to the Basel Tattoo submit charity.
